I've done a stupid thing - rear seat help

Featured Replies

So I know the basic set of operations to slide, recline and remove all sections. Have practiced that.

Having only one child I tried putting one of the rear side seats in the central position...and it fitted! what fun!

Put it all back as intended though for the time being.

Then this weekend I thought I'd give it another go and left the other seat and centre section at home.

When child got in I noticed that the centre seat belt needed to two belt clips and the seat only had one. So for one journey only we used the side mounted seat belt dragged all the way across...

So that's a no for future use.

Right so, take that seat out and put it back to standard....

Sit in it and slide it all the way back, click

Fold the seat-back, forward until click

pull up on handle....

oh.... only one side is releasing...swearing and yanking ensued, no joy.

I've properly buggered it up haven't I.... any ideas? or is it off to the dealer I go?

Once the panic has set in it makes its own problems, Sit down have a cup of tea then remove the other seats

to give yourself room. Another pair of hands might be useful. Is the seat even on the runners and not twisted.

Does the latch release completely. Can one person hold the chair square to the rails while someone gives firm

blows with their hands on the chair frame just above the runners. I hope this is helpfull.

Thats the really stupid thing.... there are no other seats to remove. I've put a rear seat where the centre section goes...

The seat locks in. It slides and reclines.

But upon sliding back, folding the back rest down and then releasing the folding mech, only one side actually detaches... :(

I don't know if this will help but on one of my Roomsters (same setup), I had to sit in the back seat and shove it back with some force before the mechanism would allow me to lift the seat out. But that was only with the rear seats in their original positions.
