Parking pilot issues

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have been through the manual back to front and Googled this to death to no avail....

I purchased a used NS7 DFHA Kodiak which came with a towbar and trailer park assist (the system where you can twist the windscreen mirror knob to steer a trailer).

So, when I press the park pilot button (the usual button you see on VWs and Skodas with the steering wheel icon) the car flags and error on the dot matrix display saying 'no trailer detected', and won't engage park pilot unless it does detect a trailer.

Please could someone help me understand if it's possible to change the system to just engage use park pilot without a trailer, as I never tow a trailer and would rather have the benefit of the automatic parking. (All the motors, sensors and servos are present as the car will auto move the steering wheel and position when a trailer is connected).

Thanking you in advance....!

Hi,

Do you have the possibility to make and post a VCDS scan?
