Question about Installing Aftermarket reversing camera into Superb MK2 2011

Featured Replies

Morning all

I have read a lot from various sources/videos ( including this great video here ) about installing a reversing camera into my Superb Mk2 .They all seem to deal with estates rather than the saloons and involve removing loads of trim from the Tailgate and the C pillar model. I was just wondering is there a more convient location ( in or around the C pillar ) i could splice into to grab the 12v going to the reversing lights ?. I'am handy enough with metering/soldering so a secure connection wont be an issue .

If anyone has a wiring diagram for a 2011 superb that would be a great help as well.

thanks in advance

Hi

Maybe i'am answering my own question here but after a sit down and a coffee i came up with an idea .

I was thinking where else in the PDC circuitry can I grab 12v and thought how about the 12v feed to the rear parking buzzer ( as it and sensors work fine but i get a black screen on the Bolero Head unit ) hence the reason for the reversing camera install ?.

any views on this as a possible solution ?.

regards

brendan
