As the title says... went to use fog lights last night and got a warning light saying to check front left.

Checked the fuses and they are working so I am imagining it is the light unit itself as they are LED sealed units on the 2021 Mk4?

Any thoughts on whether it can he anything else? I thought those lights were pretty reliable.

Has anybody managed to remove the left one with just the wheel arch liner removed?

Have you actually checked visually whether the left front fog is working?

I ask because on a previous VAG vehicle every 6 months or so I would get a spurious warning about the left front fog not working when it was actually fine.

Yeh it definitely isnt working.

Interestingly I looked through the service record and it was noted as a defect 2 years ago... so I am surprised it passed mots ?
