Air con cleaner cans

Featured Replies

Has anybody used the air conditioning cleaner cans you can buy at halfords and the like for about

I have used one of these on my brother's Mit.Shogun and replaced the pollen filter as well. We don't know we're born with the Fabia where the pollen filters concerned!

Found the interior was a lot fresher and smelled cleaner when air-con/climate was on. Interior gets a bit damp though but that's easily rectified.

Would recommend using one each year. Just because you can't see or smell something wrong doesn't mean there's nothing nasty growing in there!

I bought one of the 'proffesional use only' cans from a skoda dealer and did it on my octy vrs, these you discharge under the pollen filter as a foam and then run on recirc for about 5 mins.... smelt a bit chemically for a couple of days but boy what a difference it made (for the better)..

I used the comma one mine as after 2 and a half years the A/c was smelling a bit - I was really pleased with the results and as someone mentioned once the faint smell of the canister had disappeared it smelt so much fresher.

I used the comma aswell and what a difference it made, very easy and straight forward to use.
