Fault Code P047000 Sctavia Scout

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, this being my first post. I am loving the community so far.

I have not long ago got a new to me 2016 Octavia Scout. ODBEleven is showing a P047000 'Exhaust Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit'.

I did a little searching around has not found much about this exact fault code.

Does any one know what the fault is or can point me in the right direction please?

Assuming it's a diesel, It's one of the DPF differential pressure sensors throwing a code. This was the precursor to my needing a new DPF and associated gubbins last year.

Oh yes I forgot to say what the engine was... A Diesel CUNA, 1968cc, 184HP.
Thanks for the info, should be helpful for going back to the dealer.
I have just put some DPF cleaner in the tank I had from my last car maybe that will help!
Ill run it for a bit and see.

Oh the text didn’t show up.

I had a look for the Exhaust Pressure Sensors, seem some one has been having a play already, to me it looks like they are both non original, there is pipe clips missing and the heat shield was ripped!
Is there a site I can find out what are the original part numbers are?

I looked at the PDF values to i think my oil matter levels are high, will the kind of DPF cleaner you add in via the sensor tube clean oil out of the DPF?

Well I found the part number, AI FTW when searching for such info:

  1. Hella part: 6PP 009 409-161

  2. VAG OE numbers: 03L 906 051 B / 03L 906 051 D (03N906051B/03N906051C are the same physical sensor under a later superseded number, also cross-listed)

  3. Confirmed fitment includes Octavia III with CUNA (184PS) 2.0 TDI — so this is the correct family for your car, and genuine part numbers for this Hella unit are 03L906051B, 03L906051D, with Hella's own number 6PP009409161

I ordered some replacements from eBay that said they were compatible but they had the wrong connector so they were sent back! I removed and swapped back the ones that are installed and while doing so found out they were not fitted very well, so swapped they around and tightened up all the bolts and added a new spring where one was missing. All seems to be working right now after clearing the fault and going for a little drive it did not return so I did a forced driven regen.

Live regen:

  1. Connect → Control Unit 01 – Engine

  2. Go to Live Data first, log the soot mass reading before you start (useful for comparison after)

  3. Go to Adaptation → find "Service regeneration of particulate filter" (or similarly worded channel)

  4. Set the value to 1, press the green button to activate

  5. The DPF warning light comes on in the dash once it's live

  6. Drive on a motorway/dual carriageway, hold 2,000–2,500 rpm, roughly 70–80 km/h, ideally in a manual gear (not letting the auto/DSG shift up and drop revs) for about 20–30 minutes

  7. Regen ends by itself once complete — go back to Live Data afterward to confirm soot mass has dropped

Before:

| Particle filter, oil ash volume | 0.16 L |

| Particle filter, soot mass measured | 18.51 g |

| Particle filter, soot mass calculated | 3.42 g |

After:

| Particle filter, oil ash volume | 0.16 L |

| Particle filter, soot mass measured | 8.82 g |

| Particle filter, soot mass calculated | 0.56 g |

Here are some live data values useful to monitor:

Core regen/soot tracking

  • 114E — Particle filter, soot mass measured

  • 114F — Particle filter, soot mass calculated

  • 178C — Particulate filter, oil ash mass

  • 1153 — Particle filter, oil ash volume

  • 1793 — Particulate filter ash load limit

Since-last-regen counters

  • 1155 — Particle filter, time since last regeneration

  • 1156 — Particle filter, kilometers since last regeneration

  • 155A — Particle filter, fuel consumption since last regeneration

Regen status/control

  • 115C — Service regeneration, status

  • 1225 — Service regeneration, phase

  • 1164 — Service regeneration, current duration

  • 1224 — Service regeneration, cancel conditions

  • 12CB — Charge limit for service regeneration

  • 19F6 — Charge limit for field regeneration

  • 1355 — Charge limit over-charge

Pressure/temp sensors (relevant to P047000 fault)

  • 15B8 — Particl.filt., differential pressure sensor 1 bank 1, dyn. offset

  • 162F — Particle filter, air pressure sensor 1 bank 1, raw value

  • 11B2 — Particle filt. inlet temp. sens. 1 bank 1, raw value

  • 10F9 — Particle filter outlet temp. sens. 1 bank 1, raw value

  • 1AD5 — Lambda value at inlet of particulate filter
