another ipod mini question?

Featured Replies

Hi:)

Does anybody know how i delete all songs on my ipod mini and replace them with all the songs in my library? The manual seems to say i check all the ones i want deleted and press delete on the key board. The only problem is that i seem to have to check them all individualy!! but theres about two and a half thousand of them!!!...Is there a quick way of doing this?

Many thanks

How did you get them on there in the first place?

If via iTunes.. then connect up ya ipod and go in to the preferences, ipod, and select automatically update all my songs and playlists.

That will dump the lot on to your ipod.... not sure what happens if you have more in your library than space on your ipod though... I am fast approaching this limit though :)

ah but that doesnt work!!!.....if you all ready have songs on your ipod and you connect to itunes it wont automatically dump whats on the ipod and input whats in the library!!:(....to do it manually you would have to go thru all your tunes individualy!!.....no chance theres about three thousand of them!!....i have since "restored" my ipod(srcubbed hard drive) but this has no left me to re install my itrip....which at the moment doesnt seem to want to!!!:)

On my itunes, if you say automatically update it will erase all on the ipod and replace with the library only...

if theres not enough space it decides all by its elf to update with what it thinks is the best selection of your tunes!!!...rang ipod store and they told me to "restore" it!!...very quick and very easy apart from having to reset my itrip!!

thanks anyway

cheers
