Octavia mII Audio Stream problems

Featured Replies

Hey good people,

I wonder if someone can help me,

My car stereo started skipping songs (mp3 and cdA discs) and after awhile just ejects the cd and there's a "CD ERROR" on the display.. I've been to Skoda and they said that it doesn't show any errors on their testing equipment, but they witnessed it so they'll try to help me, maybe! even get me a new one! Car is still under warranty having passed only 1800miles.

The question is has anyone experienced anything like this (the dealer said they know the players are faulty, but never seen an error like mine :) ?

And is there a good aftermarket cd/mp3 that will fit into the dashboard? Maybe exchanging the fascia?

Thanx in advance

What media are you using to write your cds? Is is cheapo unbranded stuff. Having said that some cd players just don't like certain media anyway.

I use Verbatim cds, but i've tried my originals and same thing happens..

Go back to the dealer and insist on replacement. They may have tested the unit but who is to say that the computer picks up everything including intermittent faults. It's not like a car where the faults are logged for future reference.

My Stream head unit has just started saying CD error when it comes on. There is a disk in the front and also 6 in the autochanger but it says no disk for the one in the unit, fails to play any from the autochanger and cannot find any radio stations. :thumbdwn:

Anyway my car was booked in to fix the rattle from the rear seats on Thursday.

So I have called them and they have added the head unit to the list but until then I get to listen to the rattle on all my journeys.:thumbdwn:

Keep us up to date with how you get on and what they do ?
