CD changer connections: Octy2 and Fabia

Featured Replies

Do headunits fitted to the Octy2 use the same type of CD changer connection as the HU in the Fabia?

Thanks,

Steve

In short, no mate. I'm not sure about the latest 2006/2007 Fabia's though.

If it's what I think you are interested in then have a look on my website and all will become clear.

Thanks Stu, as ever!

You don't happen to know a place where you can get the other cable do you?

Cheers,

Steve

If you want the OEM Denison then I think it's a complete kit.

Alternatively you could try Denison but I think they've discontinued the Ice Link.

cut the plug off the fabia cable you have, get the relevant connector and flyleads from skoda and replace it with that. When it comes to matching pinouts I can sort you out.

Have you bought the Ipod connector then?

As Johnny says you could cut the cable and crimp on new parts -

Just to confirm, there seems to be two mini-ISO connectors for VAG group vehicles. So does the Fabia use 8-pin or 20-pin? Have a feeling it's 8, but want to be sure...

Thanks,

Steve
