Octavia Mk2 1.9Tdi Elegance

Featured Replies

Got one of these as a loan car today as mine is in getting the squeaky seat looked at.

It is an estate version and has the 17" wheels, xenons, parking sensors and i think the sports suspension.

I was not expecting much from the 1.9 Tdi as it is only 105Bhp but it is really good.

I would certainly consider one myself once the finances permit.

Just how much slower than my remapped octy will it be because on the way home from the dealers it felt really punchy and had plenty of pull.

Will give it a better drive tommorrow on the way to and from work. The range computer said it had enough fuel for 200 miles  that should be enough for a good test drive.

That's because it's a diesel so it feels faster than it actually is due to the big wallop of torque and frequent gear changes :D It will be significantly slower than a remapped Octy which is in the correct gear :D

Smooth, comfortable - I love it.

I'd be surprised if under normal driving it's not a bit quicker.

At full or even half spank it'll be significantly slower.

Yup.

Did 450 miles in mine yesterday and I wasn't hanging about.

Still got 52mpg despite my best efforts
