Well I took the plunge and picked up my Superb V6 TDI today at a bargain price.

managed to get out in it for an hour this evening....All I can say is I can see myself forking out a lot on bulbs..they're everywhere!!!

Any way can someone please explain to me what the two little red lights by the door courtesy light are for on the roof....I found it quite irritating earlier driving along earlier with a red arm and a reflection off of the plate on the gearknob.

Are they simply there to light up the handbrake and gearknob???

Please help as I cant find it in the owners manual...Thanks Paul

They are led red lights (cat vision) to gently light up the centre of the dash.........had to laugh at what you said ...they annoyed the hell out of me start with as well ...but you do get used to them after a while and they do work.

Also very usefull for illuminating your friendly hand gestures to other drivers at night
