When I depress the clutch, its fine, put it in gear however and there is a graunching sensation. The gear lever in gear is fine, if I put it into neutral it vibrates unbelievably.

I have to book it in I know, but I work nights and its difficult to get the time.

What do you reckon this could be, do I need to get it sorted straight away, or do I have a bit of time. Am I damaging the car driving it in this condition.!!

ive heard that it is the gear selector cables which run from the gear stick to the gear selector. i had that problem on my 06 plate but i took it to skoda but now and then it comes back slightly. i dont know what they did to try and cure it.

Is it new new? It "could" be the flywheel in which case you need to get it sorted ASAP.
