Dipping Mirrors when reversing

Featured Replies

Well found yet another thing I didnt know the Superb Elegance has.

If you set your mirror adjuster to L when you put the car in reverse the nearside mirror automatically adjusts so that you can see the kerb when reversing. I read the manual cover to cover when we broken down in France but I cant remember seeing that mentioned. Is there no end to the useful bits this car has hidden away

Yes, ours has folding mirrors & memory mirrors, aparently they are linked to the Electric seats so it remembers the seat position as well as the mirror setting ror each setting you set in the memory. The seat/mirror settings are also assigned to whichever ignition key you use but we havent tried that yet as we both are about the same height & use the same mirror setting, guess thats something else to try one day when Im bored

Its possibly in there somewhere, just needs a man with knowledge to plug his computer in & tick the right boxes

The setup is all in the handbook, you have to do more than just memorise the seat to get the mirror to dip.

To be honest the seat memory can be a nuisance. We both use very different settings, and depending on which key is used, the poor seat motors go through a lot of wear and tear, even if Im just unlocking the car to retrieve something.

Mine does this, found it out earlier after reading this post, I was quite excited actually!

To set passenger mirror to dip when reversing, turn ignition on, put gear into reverse, set mirror control **** to L not R as in manual, set mirror to required position, then hold down which ever memory button you use for your seating position for 3 seconds and a beep, Hey Presto, thats it!! ;)

oh!!!!....and I thought my Comfort was well equipped...care to sulk together Baker!
