What a weekend I had!

Taking a quick break from my college course to post a bit on here. Just had one hell of a weekend on the road.

960 mile trip to Prague, with Chris driving the mongrel a bit of it (he loves the smoke I think.... Mr German BMW X5 man didn't. )

The airfield was totally awesome! Like something from a James Bond film. Abandoned hangers that probably housed jet aircraft / secret stuff were everywhere. The airfield was nice and smooth, but yet so grippy. I think both Petr and his mate liked my demo of the Jabba ARB by flooring it in 2nd on almost max lock. The car was turning in a circle of less than 10 metres I reckon. Was just so taught! Never done that with my car since I got the ARB fitted.

Skoda museum was nice. The factory was simply HUGE. Never seen anything like it, yet everything looked to be working like clockwork. :)

Only damage to the mongrel was both wheel arch liners decided to leap into the wheels at various points on the trip. Bit odd considering I'd been running it like it's been since the conversion, yet now it decides to throw a wobbly. Still, some duck tape proved a good temporary repair.

The mongrel smoked the airfield out as well. Vids to follow I imagine. Gave Will and Petr a good run for their money as well. I learned that a standard vRS will pretty much match a uber-tuned vRS to the end of 2nd gear. It was only when I started smoking 3rd that I was pulling away from both of them smartly, covering them in soot.

A very good experience - Could say more, but I need to return to my teaching now. BYYEEEE!
