Does anyone know if the clutch in the Vrs is the same as that fitted to the Ibiza 160 PD?

Given the amount of discussion of what torque the Vrs one can handle safely it would be interesting from the point of view of those of us who have "small gains" of up to 30 bhp with tuning boxes fitted.

As far as I can tell on ETOS the clutch is the same.

the 6 speed PD all have the same clutch iirc

sorry to hijack the thread but will the VW Sharan, Ford Galaxy , Seat Alhambra 1.9PD TDI one be the same also with the 6 speed box

I think i measured it at 230mm does this sound right ?

I had a feeking it was tied in with the number of gears as well but didn't want to speculate. Had a look at the golf boxes on etka and even the PD100 has a 6 speed option and sure enough it comes with a 240mm flywheel and 240mm clutch. The pressure/friction plates are different part numbers form each other however so its unlikely that the durability of them all is the same. Had a look at sharans too and they all seem to have 240mm flywheels.

I'm fairly sure that is right. I think even the 4WD verisons have the same size clutch iirc
