Driving instructors with an 06 or later vRS

Featured Replies

hello....

I read so much on here about the "stutter" being a problem, and yet , have also talked to members at meets that say it's insignificant really.....

I'm intending to order a new vRS in december, for april delivery, (as my 05 vRS will have covered about 80k by then, and be out of warrenty...)

what I want to know, is are there any driving instructors that have an 06 or later model, and are you struggling with the stutter ? does it affect your lessons/pupils..? (I know there is at lest one who uses an '06.... [forget your name, sorry..])

thanks in advance for replies....

Sharky.

Got a 56 plate and it has a slight stutter. I havent found it to be problem when teaching and none of the pupils have mentioned it. The gear lever started rattling today and there is a noise coming from the front near side suspension when going over speed bumps. Going to the dealers tomorrow. Apart from that, the pupils love it.

I would've loved to have learned in a hot hatch. I did all my lessons in a 1.3 toyota starlet..... woohoo

Although i did manage to get 55mph out of it in 2nd gear on my test when pulling out of a junction from a 30mph raod to a 60mph bypass!!!! Then changed straight to 5th. The examiner didn't bat an eyelid!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd be happy to have lessons in it, but I'd want a proper car to take the test in. Wouldn't want to get too many ticks in the "Control - Use of Gears" box on the fail form!

thanks Gary... I'll go ahead and order.... I had the lever rattle on mine when it was new, someone told me it would go away in time, and it did (after about 8k..) , it's fine now (50k) and going strong. not had any noises from the nearside, but I have heard the bushes can go.....

happy motoring!
