When I went into the Skoda dealer, I noticed a leaflet along the lines of a promo for air con servicing. IIRC it was about

Air con. can harbour harmful bacteria, so although it may seem to work ok, after 5 years I would have it serviced just for peace of mind.

£50 seems very reasonable to me.

i'd say yes, my car is just over 5 years old and my air-con has pretty much stopped working despite being used verytime the car is.

my system hopefully needs no more than some seals and re-gassing.

btw most places charge £70 for a regas alone :)

I paid

I paid £85 for the lot including an antibacterial flush through.

Well worth it as i was having permanant sore throats and sniffles, which are now massively reduced :)

Just got the Aircon Serviced and Aircon Treated (antibacterial).Phoned this morning to get a price for the aircon service at Derek Slacks and quoted me

good result, so as you have seen for yourself it is far from a con :)
