Fabia mounting SPV and GPS power

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Not being an owner of a Fabia vRS (yet....roll on January) I'm currently pondering how I'm going to mount and power my Orange SPV and my newly purchased TomTom Bluetooth GPS receiver.

I've bought a suction cup windscreen mount type thingy for the phone which is fine, but I'm after a way of getting the cigarette charger power to this and the Bluetooth GPS device (which can sit anywhere in the car) without it looking like a bloody birds nest.

For starters, where is the default cigarette lighter socket located in the Fabia? I can't see it on any pics I've got.....

I've already bought a cig lighter power splitter from Halfrauds (which glows a lovely blue when it's on!) so both can be plugged in at the same time, but I'm curious where to put them and where to route the wires etc.

Anyone got any experience of this?

It would be nice to hide as much of it as possible, so perhaps putting the power splitter in the glovebox with the GPS device and routing the power for the phone behind the dash somehow?

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks,

Chris.
