Fabia and Autoleads

Featured Replies

Hello there. This is my first post and all that....

I'm due to collect my brand new Fabia Estate on Friday and am trying to find the correct Autolead to wire in my Nokia CK-7W kit. Unfortunatley everywhere I look I get conflicting part number. The Autoleads installation DB says one thing and their catalogue says another. Having searched the forum I found the 06-059b being listed as correct.

Does anyone have a definitive answer or what worked for them?

Thanks

Darren

I would just get an iso exention lead and use scotchlocks to take the power etc?

I'd only bother with the iso extension so you don't damage the original wiring loom if you take it out or need to remove it for any time.

Thanks. I did look at that but want to make use of the mute function and use the front speakers instead of the dire Nokia speaker.

Check my website, it'll save you the cost of an Autoleads bundle of wires.

An update on this.

Did a bit more digging and asking around at work and have an answer.

The Autolead 06-059B does just the job. and after spending a morning getting busy, my ck-7w is now installed and fully functional.

After I finished I realised I should have taken picture of the install for others. Oh well....

Instead, here are a few tips:

1. The control box is mounted in the passenger footwell using giant velcro coins to hold it to the center console.

2. The nokia mic is run from through the courtesy light, along the headlining and down the pillar and using the rubber door seal to hold in place. The up and under the glovebox to the control box

3. The control button mounted behind the indicator stalk and the cable run along the top of the buttons above the radio (ensure they work properly) and down the side of the glovebox to the control box.

4. With the glovebox removed, connect the ISO pins of the original cable to the Autolead and pull/push the lead into the space behind the glovebox (you may need to remove the mute box first) so just the male ISO blocks are left. Connect the speaker jack to the box. Refit glovebox.

5. Connect both the ISO plugs to the radio along with the antenna and refit radio to the dash.

When the ignition is turned on and the radio has re-learn the system, the kit will fire up, bluetooth will connect and there you go, one car kit with mute fitted. The calls will come through the front speakers.

Hope this helps someone else.
