The front ashtray on my Superb 1.9tdi elegance has stopped latching closed. I took it apart to find a small latch is broken so off I went to the dealers to get a replacement.... Oh, no I'm not. They only sell a full ashtray assembly! I contacted Skoda UK to ask for their environmental officers contact details as I didn't want to throw away an unused

Tried the breakers - don't seem to be many Superbs about!

It's a common fault, mine was fixed under warranty

And mine lasted 3 years & 1 week! I wouldn't mind but we don't smoke - it only get's used to access the cigar lighter to power the SatNav so I doubt that its even been operated more than 50 times. . . .

My front ashtray only holds coins for parking but it often springs open. Seems to feel a bit clunky when pressing it closed.

As for the rear one...it simply wont shut so will try and get it done on my parts and labour warranty.
