6 disc in-dash?

Featured Replies

Just a quickie,

I have loaned my brother in laws Bora this week which has a factory headunit and then fitted directly below this is a 6 disc in-dash unit, which he got as a factory option. My question is, would one of these player plug into my octy's symphony? It looks like it would fit directly below where if the dash pocket was removed. Both units were definately VW branded.

I just like the idea of being able to change discs in the car, i do regular 400 mile trips and would like to be able to change discs more regularly without the need to pull over. Also i just think that this would be a cool touch and i can keep all existing stereo equipment.

Any ideas?

Phil.

buy an mp3 player, these things are stupidly expensive, there is one on ebay which is going for over

Blaupunkt do an in-dash changer and it's probably this that in the Bora.

VW HU tend to be Blaupunkt however, the HU is Octy is a Grundig. I don't think it'll work.

The standard HU is pants so it would be better to upgrade to something better (and the speakers). If you want the in dash changer then check out www.bluespot.com .

Unfortunately, there is only one way to find out for sure... :)

Let us know your findings!

Have you ever tried to refill a CD changer cartridge while driving?! :jawsmall:

Rob.

The Blaupunkt in-dash changer doesn't have a cartridge....you just push them in....so to speak.
