rear speakers octavia classic sdi

Featured Replies

My octavia has no rear speakers but it does have holes for them on the plasticy bit beside the rear shelf.

I have some jvc 13cm speakers to go in the gaps. They have mid and tweeter located on top of the woofer. These mean the speaker will not reach the mounting points as they stick up too high, is there some sort of spacer thing that I can buy or should i get new speakers

Oh and hi and thanks for any feedback in advance (if you have any)

Just make some spacers yourself with mdf etc

Hi and welcome to brisky.

I suggest getting some MDF and cutting yourself som spacer rings out of it to sit between the speakers and the mounting point. (You can buy these too).

Basically you screw the speaker into the MDF and the MDF into the shelf.

I thought as much - need a jigsaw for that I suppose - speakers were only

You can buy the speaker rings for about £12 for the pair.

do you have wires in the back of your sdi classic to connect to the speakers?

i dont think there will be :(

...

Yeah, I know the ... feeling when I swapped the stock grundig for a cheap Goodmans MP3 player and discovered that there was only wiring in the car's ISO for front speakers.

I mean, How Feeping cheap can they get.

How do I go about adding the additional wiring into the iso wiring harness? (Can I buy something that does it ?)

I got some different speakers from the shop in the end - abou the same price as buying the speaker rings!

Ialmost wired my back speakers into what I thought was speaker cable - turned out to be wiring for a boot light that the classic is too cheap to have included! - so any hints as to where I can get a boot light would be great
