Exhaust rattle.

Featured Replies

Yes I have had tried a search before asking this. I have a rattle, usually when 'cold'sat at idle. Sounds like a rattle coming from the area in front of and underneath where the gear stick is. Almost as though the exhaust is lose. Possibility, or other thing to sort? Have to get a MOT in the next few weeks, so if it is a fix, can get them to do it then. Ta once again.

Probably the heat shield around the cat area then.

Look at the hanger bracket in this area, it is a bad design and breaks very easily will rattle if it has gone.

plus the centre box bracket always snaps of aswell, this they should check on mot aswell

it will be the bracket that holds the zaust up in the middle of the car very common
