Indicator clicking problems.

Featured Replies

Just recently I had noticed a problem manifesting itself with my indicators.

After the stalk had cancelled there continued to be a relay click or two or three or even more and some times even when no indicator stalk had been operated, this also happened when using the hazard warning lights.

Aparently Skodas first line of attack is to change the relay which is part of the hazard light unit, if this fails then it is a new indicator stalk.

Firstly let me praise Vindis of Woolpit they tried changing the relay unit, but the fault persisted, which meant a new stalk however they then replaced my old relay unit back in and did not charge me for replacing it, however now the bad news if you are like me and have cruise control prepare for a shock when given the price of a new stalk

Sounds like there was a problem with the "one touch" function kicking in when it wasn't supposed to. Glad you have it fixed now, though!

It doesn't, the MKV Golfs, Passats and Vectra's have it to name but a few but the Superb doesn't!!!

I wonder if anyone knows if this is somethig that can be added as a passatt item onto the superb????

Any clues

I have heard of people wanting to do this before, when I had my former SEAT Toledo, and was told it was not possible. Can't remember the exact reason tho.

I wonder if anyone knows if this is somethig that can be added as a passatt item onto the superb????

Any clues

When I said Passat I meant the new Passat as it shares the same stalk as the new Golf, retro fit may be possible but would certainly look daft with a different styled stalk.

There was someone that was selling a kit to 'retro-fit' something like this but it was on the Group Buy's section on UK-MKIV's.net and you will have to be a member to see it:

Looks like it ony works on Skoda Octavia aswell but I may be wrong.
