Fabia VRS Speaker Upgrade Recommendations

Featured Replies

Fantastic car and overall value for money, but the standard speakers aren't up to much, I guess they had to keep the costs down in some areas!! Whilst I'm running the car in, this will be my first modification + new head unit.

Can anyone recommend speakers, that will fit in the standard positions without needing to do any major modifications? I like to keep my speakers out of view, for obvious reasons.

Anyone know if its possible to get 6 x 9's in the front doors?

Thanks in advance.

Trust me when i say leave the speakers and change the HU. Not only does it sound better, but you will have no choice but to spend ages finding decent speakers with a magnet the width of a 20p as the speakers are moulded into a cone shape so that the speaker magnet does not hit the window. The speakers are also riveted on to the door, so if you decide to get normal speakers you will have to make a mount for them that will not vibrate to get round this.

I agree with Jeff.

Seems to me the Fabia vrs has some of the best OEM speakers I've ever found in a car. I thought they were OK, but distorted easily. Changed the HU and wow, they're v. good for OEMs. Considering they seem to be a bugger to change, I'd change the other bits which will be easier and have a bigger effect :)

If and when you come to a meet, you're more than welcome to have a listen to my setup which has only had the HU changed to a pioneer dehp-77mp (for the moment ;) )

Some Kenwood speakers have neodium magnets, they a v. v small, they might fit.
