Evening all! I've acquired a cat vision interior light from a superb which I intend to fit into my Octavia. I'm not too worried about wiring it in but I'm just not sure how it is meant to function. Are the red cat vision lights linked into the dimmer along with the button illumination or are they independent?

Can I ask what colour the unit is and what colour your headlining is?

It's something I've considered myself, but i have a dark head lining and i thought the lights were only available in light grey/beigh (mental blank on the spelling there).

Was it 2nd hand?

sdenny: Mine has a light grey headlining (I think this was one of the differences between the WRC and normal vrs models). My light is light grey to match but having checked with skoda they told me that it is available in "onyx" to go with the dark headlining. I bought the unit second hand but it has never been fitted.

SJFISHER67: It's good then? I wasn't sure if it would be very noticable! I want the illuminated buttons as much as anything :P

I think it is good yes, it's not massively noticable, but if you wear a white shirt or short sleeved top then there will be reflection on your arm and the immediate area below.

Nice touch I think personally!

Fitted this to my Bora when I had it, 5 minute job and the joy with the Bora was that the red illumination matched the red and blue dashboard, which is a hell of a lot better than the green with the Superb!!
