Clutch pedal creak

Featured Replies

I have a new vRS Octy which has now clocked 21000 kms. With winter setting in in India, my clutch has strated creaking when I depress or release the pedal. It gets more pronounced, while driving in heavy traffic, when every few seconds one has to operate the clutch. However, there is no clutch slippage while driving.

I searched these threads and read conflicting solutions like spraying WD40, loosening some bolts on the underside of the dash and having the slave/master cylinder changed. Any suggestions? Haven't approached the dealers because not good at diagnosis - most likely tell me he can't hear any creaking.

Is the creaking sound coming from the pedal or the engine? If it's the pedal, a few drops of used brake fluid or WD40 (spray into an old cup or similar if you can only get aerosols) on the pedal pivot will probably fix it.
