ice in oct 2

Featured Replies

i have removed all my ice from my previous car namely two audison amps one running the speakers one for sub. all my speakers and sub are focals.and a sony h/u. i now have the problem do i get all this installed in the car again or do i do things gradually. i feel when the doors etc are removed to install things they never seem to fit as good as before and develop rattles that suddenly appear. i have not got the car yet so i have not heard the sound system. is the sound system in the ambiente any good as i would like the minimum disturbance to get a better sound so i was thinking maybe just install the sub and amp and leave the standard h/u and speakers and see how it sounds.has any heard/done this before and did it sound ok.what dou you think.cheers john

From bitter experience, my advice is give it a good few months without changing anything. Drive it around and listen carefully for rattles. If you still want to upgrade, make absolutely sure you get any rattles fixed under warranty before fitting your ICE, because once you've had the doors to bits etc. you'll struggle to get rattles fixed for free under warranty without hassle.

To be honest I don't think the standard Stream audio sounded that bad.

I find the standard audio fine, fit the amp and sub and see how you get on. I am not sure that either the stream or audience has a line out so you may have to use speaker level input.
