Tracking Your Skoda Superb?!?!?

Featured Replies

Was wondering if you guys could give me your experiences with getting your Skoda Superb 'tracked' or 'wheel aligned'?

How much did it cost you? Where did you get it done?

Ideally I would like to hear from people that have lowered their Superb but if you haven't then please post up your comments...............

Having been to numerous places over the last few weeks I have booked mine in on Wednesday to VW of all places as Skoda 'won't' do it and I am having to spend a fortune getting it tracked because 'it's a Superb and you need special tools, etc'?

I didnt know they needed special tools:confused: I will get mine done in a few months as Island roads are full of potholes and even the Superb slams over some of them, so I want good tyre wear etc.

Sorry to steal your thread Mr B....just caught my eye.

This is probably not going to be of any help but here in Nottingham we have a place that specialises in tracking vehicles. I haven't had to have my Superb done, but did have a 1974 MG Midget tracked after I had rebuilt it. Cant remember the name of the firm offhand but if you needed it I can find it out.

From my own experience of having tyres fitted, track rod ends etc, most tyre centres have computerised tracking equipment, never had to go to a main dealer to have this done on any car model that i have owned.

Baker this mob get very good reviews in all Motoring press and are always highly recommended. Might be worth a phonecall. Quick blast down M3.

Micheldever Tyre Services Plc - for vehicle tyres, alloy wheels, batteries, exhaust systems, brakes and shock absorbers

I have been to micheldever many times and on this occasion I have chosen not to drive down there but thanks for pointing them out.

Thanks for all your comments guys, anymore are welcome.

I have been to a total of 5 places now ranging from your average 'Kwik Fit' style place up to the dealers and I am afraid to say that VW seem to be the only people that can do this, car is booked in tomorrow so I will know the damage by lunchtime I guess but at the moment I am looking at around

If you ever get stuck again try Powerstation PowerStation in Tewkesbury

Im only about 10 Mins from Micheldever & always use them for standard cars as well as getting all my tyres there but for anything modified I go to Powerstation.

Looks like a smart place however the Skoda may stand out against all those Subaru's!!! LOL!!

Funnily enough I first went there with a ill handling Subaru, came out like it was on rails. They have since performed their magic on the 4x4 a few times. They tend to track cars from basics so can add or remove understeer etc, obviously within the cars design limits. Last time they set up the Octy 4x4 they even put people in it to try & get the correct cars weight

I didn't rate Micheldever at all - they were only competent at wrecking the tracking, balancing of wheels and my alloys

Powerstation on the other hand can transform any car :thumbup::thumbup:
