IE7 - problem launching favorites from xp taskbar

I've just installed IE7.

I have my favourites folder sitting along with other short cuts on my windows xp taskbar.

When using IE6 I found once my internet connection was established I could click on a favourite from the taskbar and it would take me to a page eg this site.

Now when I do it under IE7 the page does not load and IE7 does not respond. I have to launch the IE7 icon first and bring my home page up first. Then if I click into favorites via the taskbar the page loads (similarly favourites from the yellow star icon within IE7 itself).

Any ideas whats going on and how I can get my favorites via the xp taskbar to launch without resorting to opening the homepage first.
