Hi,

I have from a alarm specialist understood that Octavia and Fabia often have issues with the elektrical contacts in the door (please refer me to old posting if I have missed them due to my limited knowledge of the English language!).

The symptoms are occasional alarm mailfuntion, interior light issues, blinking alarm diode while driving (indicating open door) etc.

I have at least this issue with the drivers door.

- Does anyone know if one can change only the contact or if the entire lock unit must be replacede?

I have not managed to get a reply from the service centre.

- What could it cost - can one fix it oneself? And then how?

Thanks! It seems like the entire module will have to be replaced and that will cost some 90 pounds (at least directly converted from Swedish Money).

So one better try to replaceit oneself.
