Hi All

Featured Replies

Just bought a 100,000 mile 4x4 Octavia to be the workhorse for the next year or so. Drives well, it's comfy, good hi-fi and as it's the estate will be great for taking out the dog; though it seems to run out of go by 5k revs and is happiest changing by 4.5k which seems a little low.

1 question, the car seems to suffer from excessive fogging on all interior windows and the air con and heated rear window seem to take ages to clear it (front window circa 5 mins and rear circa 10!). Any ideas on what to check would be appreciated.

Bought an air con coolant gauge and refill from Halfords but can't see where to connect it; any ideas? Also, I can't see any obvious way to get to the pollen filter in case the air supply to the cabin is blocked by leaves etc - how do you remove the plastic cover?

Many thanks for any help,

JMK

hi , and welcome to Briskoda , a few members complain about the misting up on the inside

your best posting your questions up on the Octavia forum , that way you will get the most possible views for your problems

Welcome from me too. I don't have any misting problems with my 4X4 Estate. What settings are you using for aircon? The 1.8T engine develops max torque between 1750 and 4600 rpm, which may explain why it appears to run out of go by 5000 rpm.

Hi and welcome.

My 4x4 estate mists up pretty quickly if the air con. compressor is off (i.e. climate control set to "ECON") but remains clear what it's on "AUTO".
