Featured Replies

I'v got an octy 02 plate sdi(plodders version)& I'v had the rear brakes & pistons changed for the mot-after 60mls the orange brake warning light in the centre of the dash has lit up-anybody av any ideas why?front shoes ok.to make matters worse the heater coil light on the dash(left side this time) has lit up in orange and started to flash-any ideas about that too?I dont av the handbook so I'm only guessing and haynes manual dont help...ta

for the brake warning light , check the fluid level as there maybe a leak

only guessing here but it could be a brake light switch fault for the coil light flashing , check if all the brake lights work

dya know if the brake pedal light switch is hydraulically operated.seems strange for it all to go after brakes being done?

what could of happened is that when the pedal has been pressed to pump the fluid through the switch could of got damaged by a quick pedal return or it maybe just coincidence that it has gone

switch is above the pedal , common problem on VAG cars , there maybe a modified part available for your car , they changed the colour of the switch IIRC , you may have a green one and the later one is purple , it is a bit of a pig to fit if you're not sure what your doing , maybe a dealer job
