my mums just bought one of these beasts!!!!! as a runabout to work!!! its sounds amazing! :eek: loads of buttons cant say much works its ok, been told its nearly a classic and very rare is this true?

If what I've read is true, the 168 is "just" a 164 that was rebadged for the Hong Kong market because 164 literally read as "the more you go the more you die" in Cantonese :eek:

So, yeah, I'd assume it's going to be pretty uncommon

never heared of the 168 before, only heared of the 164 and 166, n actually when i read the subject, i thought its a topicabout the new 166 which will be called 169..

yeah thats what it says sounds like it says too v6 its got a lifetime warrenty on the exhaust!! haha ill post a photo..

lol, I guess that the 2.8 thing is just a badge, searched the internet for 2.8 Alfa 164's n didnt find anything, its probably a 3.0 V6 24V, which is known for the amazing exhaust noise it makes.. I love the noise of all the Alfa Romeo V6 engines, bst noise you can hear from a V6 engines

theres 2 on auto trader that are 2.0 168's im not sure it needs a good clean thinking of having it myself! after mum gets a newer car! its got everything! climat control, eletric heated seats, auto dim mirror etc....

but it says 2.8 v6 24v!!

Well, the thing is that there wasnt a 2.8 v6 engine for Alfa in the 90's, they had a V10 Alfa 164 for racing that could reach 200 MPH, but never a 2.8 :P lol

sorry my bad! it is a 3.0! would it be a good project car to bring back to life? my mum said i could have it when she has found a decent car in easter:)

Well i think it's a good idea to bring it back to its original condition considering you have the 3.0 24V engine 210 BHP, it's a beast.. besides if u take care of it it'll never go wrong, if it did go wrong its a bit expensive to fix but otherwise it's a very reliable car.. and it drives and sounds amazing.. Btw what model is that? coz only models after 1993 got the 24V engine, and better suspension:thumbup:

Seconded , every time i see a nice spec 156 (I prefer the pre-facelift original car , especially with leather and the wooden steering-wheel rim) I start thinking about getting one , I love those 'Teledial' alloys too....

The 156 is my favorite, I love the GTA and I'm so goin to own a GTA one day, its such a beauty, sounds like a baby ferrari, goes really really fast and its practical and chape to buy second hand...

One i saw today, was nice, black with white leather, had that marmite spoiler though, dam thing was sold tho pending a finance agreement :(
