first clean

hi had my 54 plate black octy vrs for two weeks now and i'm thinking of buying some new detailing products so i can give it a good going over , what's the procedue an products for doing it right does it go something like this

1 wash car using megs shampoo or washing up liquid to remove old wax ? and mf wash mit two bucket method

2 paint cleaner? if so which one (or do i clay first)

3 megs quick clay

4 wash again

5 polish ( i have some megs nxt left will this get rid of swirl marks)

6 selant? if so which one ?

7 wax using collonite as i want a long lasting finish

any help would be much apriciated as there are so many products out there and its very hard to choose
