I have seen an entryon BS "SkodaAuthorised Repairer" with bo other description.

Does that mean they are onlysuitable for taking off duff parts and replacing them, or does their remit extend to general servicing? What are the plusses and minuses of using such ourfits?

Some garages have "Authorised Repairer" status, but are not approved for new or used car sales.

May be an ex-dealer that didnt want to spend the money on a fancy showroom, but can often be good for service / repair work.

Parkside in Bolton is an example of one that fits this category and gets great reviews on here.

Yes. They have full status but just dont sell new vehicles.

There are a few VW dealers for example that also have Skoda authorised repairer status.
