Comfort Estate 1.9Tdi - rear door won't open!

Featured Replies

Hi All, not been on here for years, glad to see the site's still going from strength to strength..........

Used to have an Octavia vRS, my Dad's now got a pair of Fabia vRS' (his & hers LOL) and I've just taken on his Fabia 1.9Tdi Estate........

The nearside rear door of the estate won't open from the outside. The central locking appears to unlock the door but you can only open it from the inside, not from the outside handle................

Has anybody come across this before?

Cheers...........Sam

Excellent! Cheers FunFly.

I'm a little unclear, this little red (or silver) clip, is it toward the back of the outside door handle? Or do I need to take the inside of the door apart to access it?

Cheers.............Sam

Yes to the back of the rear of the pulled out handle.

No need to take anything off the door

I think I know what my problem is - this little clip (black on mine) seems to be in place on the other three working doors but looks to have disappeared from the broken door!

Can you take a gander at the two images below and tell me what you think? Is this the little clip that you speak of in the other thread?

Cheers..............Sam
