Hi guys, fitted a Kenwood single CD to the wife's Fabia, only problem is that the autoleads replacement black surround doesn't fit. It's as though its too thick.

With the black panel surrond pushed on, I can't get the silver Kenwood surround to clip in. Tried clipping the silver front on before pushing the stereo all the way home, but its no different.

I've tried re fitting the cage.

Any advice? Err indoors is doing my head in as theres an ugly strip of metal directly above the stereo.

Dealer sells a piece of plastic for about £3 that is supposed to go above a different radio unit.

A search on here should reveal a part number.

They sell one it halfords for the furby. £8 IIRC.

That Halfords one is the same as the autoleads.

Is the main dealer variant much different?

The Dealer one is the proper one and is made to fit - Simple answer.
