MP3 on Aux input and Dietz 1213

Featured Replies

I have a 55 plate Superb and am looking to use a portable MP3 player wired into the Sat Nav. I have looked on the various sites and the Dietz 1213 lead seems favourite but it needs to be used with MFD Ver D or G. Any ideas what mine would be.

Thanks

Skoda tend to be A or B IIRC but they don't directly correlate to the VW revisions.

The last digit of the part number should be the version I think.

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't as it's a pretty new unit.

Can anyone tell me?

If the CD atochanger is connected does this use the AUX socket on the back of the SatNav - or is the socket still spare to connect my MP3?

I hope I can have both?

Regards

John

The CD changer will not occupy the media socket.

You'll have to keep us all informed on how it goes.

All done and working fine - Thanks Stu for your assistance.

Does it have good functionality?

Well its only an MP3 Player (Creative) and the Dietz lead from the SatNav plugs into a mini jack socket on the player. My local garage did the wiring for me (bottled out in the end) and put the lead into the Glove Box. It works absolutely fine and the sound quality is excellent. I cannot get any Video of course as the lead is Audio only so the SatNav just shows "AUX" on the screen.
