Ko4 turbo

Featured Replies

Im considering fitting a 2nd hand ko4 turbo, from a wrecked tt/s3 in a salvage yard.

Is it as simple as unbolting the turbo?

Do you need to get under the car to get access to it?

yes and yes.

to fit it.

as to make it work.. then why?

Isn't the K04 from the TT bigger and needs an adapter plate for the exhaust mainfold??

The K04 0001 is the same size...one that AmD offer IIRC.....but won't give as much boost.

Not disputing...just interested.

No and yes! The K04-001 is a straight bolt on - but the TT/S3 K04 is a K04-028 or something, different manifold, downpipe etc. and you need GOOD access from under the car.
