My felicia Laurin & Klement

Featured Replies

Would it not be quite a hard colour to touch up? I thought the l&ks had a sort of flip paint effect on them?

that is lush!

hats off to you for a great buy!

yes they are, but the pen/spray can has the same colours thats the original paint has, and reacts the same to different light. it isnt multi-layered paint or anything.

...Im thinking of bidding on it just for the leather and alloys lol :D

mines got rust in the same places, how odd!

obviously shows that the rust spots are the same in each estate model!

whats his reserve? I think its worth buying for the seats and alloys OR just to have a unmolested L&K, which with a good respray would be an awesome car!

trust me i know !

...Im hopefully buying a 99/S SLXI felicia hatch on saturday, so if the L&K estate isnt going to make much on ebay Il bid on it just to have the stainless exhaust, alloys and interior.

Swap the bits over and get it so its usuable then stick it back on ebay.

L&K models are rare and good spec for the money, but I doubt they will have a cult following or increase in value, not for another 10 years anyway, its like the favorit silver and blackline models, they were the dog's danglies Favorit model but go for peanuts now.

i'd pay

I was very tempted to hold onto our old Favorit - M reg with 141K on the clock (been in the family since new) however it wasn't easily viable. we have 5 cars on the driveway at the mo anyway, so I couldn't easily have another. Just think - it will be an ace classic, especially as you say in Blackline / Silverline or the CD model (only 200 made I think)

...I saw a few of the "CD" models on autotrader a few years back, but only seemed to be estates on an "N" plate and in burgendy.

Favorits are getting rarer every year, and the limited editions even more so. It is an important model in Skoda's history as it was the first model which was post communist era and was the last model to be built before VW bought into Skoda and also the first Skoda FWD model.

They may not get the same cult following and command the same prices as the estelle/rapid/S110R/1000MB era cars but in a decades time who knows.

TBH people think estelles and rapids are common place in the Czech rep, they arent, I go to the Czech rep every year and spent alot of time in Prague and Plzen (2 largest cities) and you are lucky to see a handfull of Rapids, you do see the estelles but they are definatly on the decline. When favorit numbers decrease in the Czech rep then thats when they will gain value.

Yes I have been to Czech - Prague on a few occasions, and agree plenty of Favorits, Felicias, Fabias, and Octavias, but not so many estelles and rapids!

Tatra 613s are more common around Prague than Rapids!

last time i was in the czech you couldn't move for favorit's.

mind you, every time we parked up, we would come back to find a crowd around the car, cuz me old man had a silver-line. the locals know about them, but no one out there could afford one.
