Air conditioning Compressor

Featured Replies

Anyone ever had one of these let go?

If so, what were the symptoms?

Any idea of cost to get fixed?

Thanks in advance!

Do a search on this site and you'll find lots of examples. Just hope for your sake it isn't the compressor itself - one post says you only get a few pounds change out of £1000!

It its the same as the Octys the pulley can fall off the compressor but it often damages the thread on the way off. If you take it to a stealer it will set you back a grand, new compressor, labour & a re gas. But a skilled mechanic can often clean the threads sufficently to get a new (or s/hand) pulley on, it can also on the Octy be done on the car if hes got nimble fingers, this saves a re gas

You can get them fitted by an indy garage for about £350 lpus the regas and new dryer unit.

Skoda UK CS services were extremely helpful when the one on my octavia dropped off.
