Best PD130 plug in tuning chip?

Featured Replies

Im considering boosting my 55 1.9 PD, but dont want to have a remap as is under waranty. What is the best plug in tuning chip available and how much will it cost?

Does anyone know the actual performance figures of a boosted 1.9?

Cheers.

Dragon boxs seem well respected as they are digital and not as crude as typical resistor type boxs.

Whilst they are more expensive, the good thing is that you can sell on afterwards for nearly what you paid for it, meaning the net cost of the mod is next to nothing! :D

I'm running a Dragon digital at the moment on my PD130. I recon to get 175BHP from it when set on maximum performance (from Octygone RR figures) and anything upto 62mpg on a run (newcastle to lincoln indicated on display) instead of the usual 52mpg on the same run. Cost me £250 from ebay (official dragon ebay page) which saved me £25 from their Diesel tuning Tdi Hdi Dci Cdi TDCi page (not sure why the saving as it's the same company???) I would strongly recomend the dragon, as I bought mine incase of waranty issues

all i can say about tuning boxes guys is that a few we have seen are blowing injectors, better off with a remap.
