hi all just want to say hello to all out there new to all this computer milarky so bear with me.Im thinking of buying a skoda and thought some of you would give me an idea on what to buy.I currently own a bmw compact and to be perfectly honest the only reason Im thinking of getting another is I would like a deisel next as now I have retired I hope to be going farther afield. Any ideas on which skoda I should buy Fabia vrs or Octavia though I have seen the roomster and that looks nice thanks all pat. ps read on one of the other car sites that the Fabia has trouble with the door seals leaking as any of you found this with yours.

- Welcome to briskoda....

- My 06 plate Fabia VRS is fine no problems :D

I think that your choice of car is really up to you - Mine was down to the insurance(Which is still alot) but im sure with your years of driving that doesn't matter. I also looked at the fabia as i dont really need a 'Taxi' atm don't have any children or any need for a big car.

To be honest Im a young lad who likes his hot hatch really. Suits me down to the ground - try going to a dealership and having a test drive they are all too happy to help.

thought about buying a fabia tdi rather than a vrs??

hello and welcome

Hiya.

Do you need a boot that you could hold a dance in ;), cos that's what you'd get with an Octy?

Hi Pat

And welcome -

Me I have a Octavia Estate - 03 plate- Lots of room, lots of power and frugal on the diesel

The fabia vrs is smaller, damned fast and even better on the fuel.

Im not keen on the new Octavia after driving a few - prefer my 03 plate.

I dont have any little ones but I need something to tow the boat / drag car / archery trailer or other vehicles and I need lots of room to throw the kit in the back - Hence the estate (or is that inastate?)

But anyway - Welcom

Pat I got my fabia Comfort 1400 16v after a lifetime of VW Golfs, apart from some of the luxurious upholstery that I miss, I think the Fabia drives better than the Golfs Ive had. Just my opinion.
