Just to say hello

Im a newbie, have had my first Skoda Fabia for 2 years. Its a 1400 16v model.

Been no probs until the recent rain and now my carpet passenger side is permanently wet.

Hello, Interesting that we were both posting similar complaints at the same time, though for different models (Octavia/Fabia). Our passenger footwell was damp last winter; driver's footwell became damp this winter, and is now far worse than passenger side. I've been pouring water over the doors today, but can't see any obvious ingress from the seals. I reckon it might be coming from blocked drain holes beneath the windscreen. Hopefully we'll both get some useful replies.

Well, I had that problem with a VW Golf, the drains blocked with leaves but this one seems to be clear. I had a major service 2 months back and its since then - not sure if thats coincidence or not.

Ive read on here people having seal probs with back doors but this is definitely coming in from the under the bonnet somewhere. It gushed in the other day as I turned right at the top of the road - quite a shock happening suddenly! Cant see where it can be building up in that quanitity.

If your Octavia is 05/06 then you will need to return to your dealer some models had a seal under the front wing missing , left off durning assembly I believe , they should know from chassis number 2 of my friends had theirs done.
