Tom Tom alternative mount

Featured Replies

Does anybody have a TomTom with a better mount than the standard window mount...?

Cos lets face it, its pants.

I was thinking of getting the alternative mount kit but dont know how good it would be

I use a phone mount for my Garmin 76csx handheld. Satellite lock is never a problem but I do intend to connect it to the oem roof antenna, just need to feed the wire through the headlining.

Spot on, looks cool. Where abouts did you get your phone mount from?

Would you just be taking a feed from the OEM aerial? If so, could you not take one from the back of the stereo?

I got the phone mount from Neatcom Communications;

Skoda Octavia GLX/SLX, 8/98-04/04 Phone Console

I have the oem combined radio/cellular/GPS antenna fitted. Don't fancy lowering the headlining at the moment to run the cable, job for later!
