I'm abroad for 4 weeks in April and will be leaving my Elegance 2.8V6 in a locked garage at the bottom of a steep hill out in the countryside. Will the battery be ok by the time I come back? Should I leave it unlocked or does the alarm automatically kick in after a period?

Id leave it locked up personally and worry about it when you get back. Im sure that you can find someone to jump you when you get back

I left my 1.9 elegance TDI just over 3 weeks and was fine.

Do you have VAG-COM?

You could put the car into "transit mode" (assuming the Superb can do it like some other large VAG cars can)
