Hopefully will get my new head unit and DAB unit tomorrow

Use to have the lower model in my old car and was a very good unit. Won some stereo awards last year. Thought i would go for the DAB as radio reception in areas of stoke on trent is crap.

Got MP3 as well as most new stero's seam to have now.

Looks good. Not too flashy, I thought it was a Blaupunkt at first and it will suit the Octavia dash. MP3 is certainly the way to go. I'd never go back to a boot mounted auto changer now.

Strangely, the thing that puts me off DAB is my experience of digital TV ie all or nothing. Just my non-techie mind I suppose.

Digital TV is fine in my area. Have a Freeview box ported into my PC and listen to the radio stations a lot while surfing.

Got about 3-4 areas on my normal drive to and from work where reception for normal radio is poor. Radio starts searching and just keeps scrolling round for a couple of minutes and gets on my tits.
