Had another close look at the original image blown up in Photoshop. Unable to see a VW badge and the badges have been removed from the wheel trims.

Noticed there appears to be Fabia estate type roof bars.

Somehow the front says 'SAAB' to me

The alloys also seem a bit Fordish.

When i had the polo i arranged to meet one of those dent devil kinda people to have a small dent removed on the wheel arch. He asked if i could meet him at the local Porsche dealer as he had a couple of jobs there. I went down and got to go round the back in the storage yard and just about all the newly delivered porsche's had these white covers on them. They all had small windows in them so they could be driven and where the drivers door was the cover unzipped.
