Trip Computer Display etc

Featured Replies

I have just noticed that when I first use the car in the morning after leaving it all night - I sometimes get different displays. For example this morning I had the foot brake display for some 10 mins after I had been driving and only when I turned the radio/Sat Nav on it changed to the correct display showing CD/Track/MPG etc. Another time I had Germad (Don't know what this said as don't speak German?) and again when I turned the SatNav on it changed to correct display. After this initial problem the car is fine for the rest of the day regardless of how many times I turn the engine on and off.

Has anyone had this problem - or know what might be causing it. It is easy to correct but as it is under warranty should I get it sorted?

Thanks

2.5 TDI Elegance

I don't have an automatic so won't get the 'Press Brake Pedal' message, but have has the German for something to do with the sat nav come up, turning off and on again usually clears the problem, it happens some times, I have just learned to live with it.

Thanks for your feedback - and yes turning on and off does cure it?

Will see how it goes - I still have 18months warranty left so if it get's worse I will let Dealer have a look then.

Hi Carolyn - thanks for your feedback. It seems to be ok now, it has not played up for a few days so hope all is ok.
